Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Children and extra bed policy

Children of any age are allowed. A cot for children up to 3 years is free of charge.

Cleanliness

Mixed cleanliness: some guests praised cleanliness but at least one reported no cleaning during a two-day stay (missed towel delivery), indicating inconsistent housekeeping.

Service

Generally highly praised staff (friendly, efficient, quick to respond) though there are isolated service lapses (slow breakfast service, delayed help with moving after AC failure, communication issues at check-in).

Location

Consistently strong location praised for proximity to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, transit and local dining — major recurring positive.

Room Quality

Room problems reported: poor sound insulation between rooms, broken AC requiring a move, and some dated elements — overall room quality below the hotel's star expectations.

Amenities

Good amenities overall (pet friendly, beautiful patio, restaurant/bar) but occasional missing in-room items (no slippers, no kettle/coffee machine) and minor outdoor issues (mosquitoes).

As a four-star Kimpton hotel in vibrant Chelsea, Kimpton Hotel Eventi says hello with a custom-designed living room that serves as a hip hub to all things awesome. Like our L'Amico restaurant and Back Bar lounge, both under the culinary genius of world-traveler Laurent Tourondel. Brooklyn-based design firm Crème masterminded our surroundings, including a stacked felt reception desk that pays homage to the nearby Garment District.
