Generally reported as clean with daily housekeeping, though some guests noted mildew in the shower, dirty corridor carpets and a mattress odour in one room.

Staff frequently described as friendly and helpful; one notable negative about an incorrect breakfast charge and occasional noisy staff activity, but overall service impression is positive.

Repeatedly praised as excellent and central (Royal Mile, walking distance to transport and attractions), a clear strong point of the hotel.

Multiple comments about very small rooms, limited storage, narrow beds, no air conditioning and windows opening only to an interior shaft—comfort and space are common issues.
